Glengoyne - Reputed to be Scotland's Most Beautiful Distillery Within easy reach from Glasgow, Loch Lomond and Edinburgh, Glengoyne scotch whisky distillery is open all year round offering the most in-depth range of visits in the industry. Glengoyne is proud to offer entertaining and in-depth distillery visits including the Master Blender tour where guests create their very own blended whisky. Please see below for our full programme of tours. The Glengoyne, Wee Tasting and Tasting tours run on the hour and no prior booking is required for groups of 10 or less. For our more specialised distillery tours (Cask Tasting, Master Blender and Masterclass) or if there are more than 10 guests we would ask for an advanced booking - please Contact Us to arrange. New range of Glengoyne Distillery Tours Glengoyne is now offering a fantastic NEW range of comprehensive Guided Tours that take you behind the scenes at the distillery and give you an amazing insight into the production of scotch whisky.
Glengoyne Tour £6.50 per person
Guests are welcomed with a dram of Glengoyne 10 year old Highland Single Malt Whisky, view a short video presentation and are taken on an informative and entertaining guided distillery tour, ending in our Slainte Mhath Shop. Wee Tasting Tour £8.50 per person Glengoyne tour plus an additional tasting of our award winning Glengoyne 17 year old Highland Single Malt Whisky at the end of the visit. Tasting Tour £15.00 per person Guests are welcomed with a dram of 10 year and 12 year old Highland Single Malt Whisky, view a short video presentation and guided tour of the distillery. At the end of the tour guests are welcomed in to the Glengoyne 'Club Room' where they can relax with a taste of Glengoyne 17 year and 21 year old Highland Single Malt Whisky. Cask Idol £70.00 per person The Search for the Perfect Dram Starts Here Sample SIX Glengoyne Single Cask whiskies and help us select the perfect dram for a very special release. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to become part of the Glengoyne Single Cask Selection Panel and taste whisky that is still maturing. Following an in-depth Glengoyne Distillery tour and a visit to the legendary Warehouse No. 8, we will guide you through our last three Single Cask bottlings, before asking you to judge three new samples drawn from the cask – one of which could be released with your name and tasting notes on the bottle label. (2 hours 15 minutes) (This tour will be available from April 2010) Master Blender Session £30.00 per person Create your very own blended whisky! Guests are welcomed with a dram of 10 year old Single Highland Malt before enjoying a guided tour of the distillery. After the tour guests are invited in to our new state-of the-art whisky 'Sample Room' where they can taste 'Langs Select' blended whisky and award winning Glengoyne 17 year old Single Highland Malt whilst learning about the art of the Master Blender. Guests will then have the opportunity to create their own blend which will be bottled in a 100ml sample bottle for them to take home, along with a certificate. The Masterclass £100.00 per person The most in-depth and comprehensive distillery tour in Scotland. Unique to Glengoyne, the Masterclass offers the most in-depth and comprehensive distillery tour in Scotland. This specialised tour includes a visit to the Glengoyne warehouses which are not normally open to the public and explores the key areas of whisky making. The tour also includes tastings of Glengoyne 12 and 17 year old single highland malt, 3 single cask whiskies and 6 sherry samples. Guests will have the opportunity to create their own blend in the whisky Sample Room. A light lunch is provided. At the end of the visit, guests are presented with a 200ml bottle of their created blend, a Masterclass certificate and a Glengoyne commemorative book.
