35 Year old
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Exceptionally rare

Distilled in the 1970’s and 35 years in the making, this rich malt is full of tropical fruit intensity - with a liquorice and dark chocolate finish. It is an exceptionally rare spirit: there are only 500 decanters available worldwide.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose
The classic Glengoyne apple character is at its heart, with complementary notes of papaya, mango and coconut giving a beautiful scent that can only come with decades in oak. Aged leather, Victoria sponge, dried citrus peel, honeycomb and saffron.
  • Taste
A great oily texture that instantly coats the mouth with a burst of fruit. A whisky to hold on the palate for a long time as it keeps developing, with dried fruit, floral notes and gentle spice becoming almost creamy after time.
  • Finish
The tropical fruit intensity returns and lingers at the back of the throat while the whisky becomes slowly drier, with liquorice, brown sugar and dark chocolate beautifully balanced. A whisky not to be rushed!

Hand-blown glass and solid oak

Each hand-blown decanter is engraved, numbered, collared in gold with a crystal stopper.

The gull-wing box is solid oak, hand-crafted, bespoke. The leather? Hand-stitched and Bentley-red.

Worth the wait

Duncan, our stillman, joined in 1977. Not long after, he crafted the spirit that would eventually find its way into this exceptional bottling.

A lot has happened in 35 years – but in the cool darkness of our dunnage warehouse, time runs a little more slowly. While the world changed, the unique flavours of this whisky intensified with each passing moment in the cask. It was worth the wait.
